The Vice Wine brand gets its grapes from Napa, but has it’s heart in Los Angeles. Founded by L.A. based husband and wife duo Malek Amrani and Torie Greenberg Amrani, they are dedicated to small batch, single varietal wines that are low in sulfites, certified vegan, and contain no added chemicals.

The alcohol on this wine comes at you first so it's a little hot. But underneath are good balanced fruit aromas with some oaky vanilla. On the palate the core of the wine is tight and balanced with the fruit softening. The tannins are there but off in the distance doing work to keep the frame of the wine in tact.
The Vice Tri Blend featured in VinePair's Best Red Blends of 2022. The uncommon St. Laurent variety is joined by Cabernet Franc and Malbec in this blend. Its name not only references the number of varieties in the blend but also a passion of Malek Amrani, a Team USA triathlete. The blend proves a winning formula, delivering vibrant dark berries, a distinctive floral note, and just a whisper of tannins.

"I was surprised to find the St. Laurent grape grown in the Napa Valley, since I usually encounter it only in Austria. In fact this wine is made from the grapes of one single vineyard in Napa.
The wine has heady, sharp, boysenberry aromas & a bright flavor, light & fruity. Both airy & rustic at the same time. Its flavors seem to deepen with food, especially earthy foods & autumnal vegetables."
